WIPE OUT HUNGER DURING RAMADAN

MICT through the Kind Support of LFCT is seeking to Raise Funds for Ramadan Iftar Program

RAMADAN FOOD SUPPORT AGAINST HUNGER OFFERS DONORS THE CHANCE TO DOUBLE THE IMPACT OF THEIR SADAQAH

HOW THE RAMADAN CAMPAIGN HELPS

The Lady Fatemah (AS) Charitable Trust (LFCT) in collaboration with the Madinatul Ilm Charitable Trust (MICT) in keeping with its previous support for individuals in need of food through the holy month of ‘Ramadan’ would like to appeal for support to extend generous support for this holy and worthwhile cause. Ramadan is a month of reflection, prayer and fasting for Muslims. During the month, observers gain a better understanding of and appreciation for the suffering of impoverished and hungry people around the world. Ramadan also serves to remind Muslims of the importance of charity, and their obligation to be charitable during the month and all throughout the year.

This is vital in order to help individuals and families stricken by the effects of high inflation and poverty across Pakistan which makes it impossible for many to make their two ends meet. Furthermore, there are areas where victims from the floods of 2014 are still living their lives in hopeless poverty and need. A gesture which provides them food support during Ramadan can go a long way in facilitating their most important fundamental needs. Our hope is to place food on empty tables in deprived households so that our fellow human beings can go through ‘Ramadan’ without empty stomachs.

At MICT, through the generous support of The Lady Fatemah Charitable Trust, we intend to arrange food packages to be delivered prior to the Holy Month of Ramadan.  This program has been an on-going project for many years. The food packs are meant to be delivered to at least 500-1000 families comprising between 3000 to 6000 individuals mostly in impoverished areas of District Rawalpindi Islamabad and surroundings areas as well. The recipients of these packages include the elderly, widows, orphans, single mothers as well as other poverty stricken individuals.
